According to the British Museum, the prints found on the Basotho blankets carry messages of historic and philosophical import. The designs on this garment, for example, reference the Badges of the Brave Blanket and the history interwoven into it. In WWII, twenty thousand soldiers from Lesotho fought alongside British armed forces. Recognizing in their British brothers-in-arms the same characteristics of valor and bravery cherished by the people of Lesotho, they created a blanket that incorporated the emblems of each integrated regiment that they fought in. As exemplified in this and other stories, true nobility comes from within. That is what it means to be an "Original Royal".

With over 35 traditional blanket designs (like the Badges of the Brave), each new piece we create under this Chapter is meant to introduce a new story rich in history and meaning that the blankets themselves convey. A portion of proceeds from this collection will be donated to Sentebale in honor of the ethos: “Kobo ke bophelo” [Trans. The blanket is life].
